CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED!
It is with great excitement that I have been able to hold a contest like this for the first time in years!
The hardest part was only being able to choose 3.
I would like to congratulate:
3rd Place - for their outstanding concept of Bones in a costume -
2nd Place - for their amazing effect and almost horror-movie-like concept of Bones being the monster -
<da:thumb id="490477344"/>
1st Place - for their intricate detail and ghastly take on Bones being very surreal -
Congratulations for the 3 placing winners!!!
BUT! It doesn't end just there.
As a token of my appreciation for ALL
THE PARTICIPANTS, I would like to extend a special gift for all of your hard work and devotion!
To this, I would like to present a pair of options!
- 10% off any commission (Jewelry, taxidermy, custom art doll, novelty, or anything you have in mind that is within my realm of creation)
- A small surprise gift to arrive just in time for the winter Holidays! (This would be a surprise left to my design. Which could be anything from a bracelet/necklace made using gemstones and possibly some wild accents, or perhaps it could be a small little handmade, fuzzy creature trinket/ornament, like a micro skull beastie, bird, or creature)
If the participants who are not 1st,2nd,or 3rd could note me, that may be faster (as I am only on a true computer for an hour or two at night)
If I do not hear from you, not to worry! I will send you a note within a couple days!
Nobody will be forgotten!!
Again, thank you to EVERYONE who made this an exciting event!

Hello to all!
From ghastly ghouls to creepy critters!
I have arisen from the hiatus to bring forth a couple of fun things!
First.
How many of you would be interested in a little contest?
It has been far too long since I did one of these, and I completely miss holding them!
THE SUBJECT:
My lion-faced, fiery beast known as Bones.
Main aspects of Bones are: Boxy lion-like faceBig eyebrow ridges (may or may not contain the swirl effect)Horns (they are actually almost like a gemsbok horn, but only have one or two rings)Pointy antelope-like earsGlowing yellow pupil-less orbs for eyesRighteous mane (like a lion, that stops at the shoulders but trails down the spine and chest)Flagged tail (almost like a golden retriever)
Spiral/pinwheel wings emanating from his shoulders, and quite possibly his hips (hips are optional, but if present, generally a little smaller)
(Optional) Bones is often seen with a skull of predatory nature.
THE RULES:
Any type of 2-D visual media can be used! If you excel at traditional paper and pen, go for it! Or if you do digital very well, by all means that is welcome!
A maximum of TWO entries per person
The entries should be presented in a clean state (meaning no stick figure scribbles, or colouring that resembles any age under 5yrs)
THE THEME IS HALLOWEEN! Put Bones in something festive! Cutesy Halloween costume holding a bucket of candy? SURE! The beast viciously running amongst a pack of werewolves? Go for it! I only ask that we all keep this contest at a rating of PG-13.
Please, no art that resembles any kind of personal/global/social hate. This is supposed to be a fun event for everybody. Any art that portrays this is subject to disqualification.
HAVE FUN! This is an event to get your creativity flowing and show your love for the spookiest holiday of them all!
THE PRIZES:
There will be 3 placing winners of the contest! These winners get CUSTOM COMMISSIONS from me! And who doesn't love free commissions?
1ST PLACE: Receives a LARGE spooky art doll, ranging 12"-24" - Features a bobcat or fox sized skull for a face, real pelt for the body, and sculpted paws. Of the same caliber as these guys:
2ND PLACE: Receives a Medium spooky art doll - Of the same caliber of the ones mentioned above, but in the 6"-12" range. (same, but half the size. Skull size of a raccoon or a mink)
3RD PLACE: Receives a small spooky art doll - Same caliber of work as the larger ones, but stands in the 4"-8" range. (skull size of a muskrat or mink)
IF A WINNER(S) SHOULD NOT WANT THEIR PRIZE COMMISSION TO BE AN ART DOLL, I DO OFFER CREDIT OF THE VALUE OF THE ART DOLL TOWARDS ANY COMMISSION. (this means if you have been waiting for a plush, taxidermy, or jewelry commission, you can use these credits towards those! Kindof like a gift card to my workshop!)

2ND - $150 credit
3RD - 100 credit
DUE DATE:
October 31st! ---MIDNIGHT! (PST)
At 12:01 PST of November 1st, the contest will be closed.

ANY QUESTIONS, FEEL FREE TO ASK!
