What exactly do you call that style of art? Native Pacific? (that's what I've been calling it but nobody understands me)

you could call it pacific northwest coast native art. yea I know its long.

but it does get more complicated because there was several different types of tribes here all with similar but different art styles. my art is a mix of all of them.

the most popular and where that wasco story came from is haida.

I really like your gallery also.

easiest way to start is to cut large leather scales and rivet them together! That is what I'll be doing with my Predator costume armour.

:D Yeah, it does. I'll try to save up the money in the next week or so. I don't have a job yet, but my parents still, for some retarded reason, give me $10 a week. Don't know why, but I don't complain. Money is money.

It's so neat... so beautiful; such craft, such a wondrous tale behind it too. A glorious sea wolf like no other, dashing through the waves with it's free spirit. I love this.. gosh.:aww:

This is pretty kick butt. I never knew that the orca was the wolf of the sea. This is very interesting and very nicely done! I love the wood and the bone together. Very awesome.

What an awesome concept, I love it! I'm not so keen on the wooden beads, being a more plain-style-person myself who prefers black, but it's still gorgeous! And do you have any more info. on Wasco?

I actually just remember what I can from High school when I took World History and studying the native alaskans and how the whalers feared that if they took and harvested too many whales, this giant sea-wolf would come and destroy their ships and eat all the whales, leaving them with none. I'm sure if you Google "Wasco the Sea Wolf" you'll find more info on him. (if You just type Wasco, you'll get the Wildlife Artist Supply COmpany.... which is a cool taxidermy store!)

isn't it amazing?!?!?!
I thought the barracuda was considered the wolf of the sea... apparently it's the killer whale, and it all goes back to the Pacific Inuit/native totem beast!!!
(s'okay... I thought the name Zhon was pretty original.... but it turns out to be an army name on a pretty kickass medieval PC game)

Yup, it's cause they hunt in packs. But naw, I started drawing a wolf/humback hybrid for the singing thought then changed it to part orca because after all they are referred to as wolfs of the sea. And pirates are often called Sea wolves, in addition to scurvy dogs.
