Thank you! Realism is what I strive for!

Lol! You could tell mom that she won't poop on the carpet (or ruin the lawn), she won't throw up on your lap, she doesn't eat much...maybe hunts dust bunnies under the couch. And you don't have to take her out on walks! XD

She's beautiful, great job here. Out of curiousity, how much would a plush-mounted wolverine or tahr run? I may commission one when I get the amount of money needed. :)

I will be doing a wolverine of my own here shortly! Gonna make him battle armor and everything like something out of Redwall. LOL!
Anyway.... I figure a Wolverine to be about $650. I have a himalayan tahr...last one left and I may not get another one, it's HUGE too! Asking $900 for the horns and pelt as is, Add $500 in materials for me to plush it.

Thanks... you'll be kept in mind. Does wolverine fur smell skunky like their musk does?

Nope, after tanning they come out smelling like fresh leather (skunks on the other hand...retain their smell no matter what)

I still love this fox. :aww: I was reading some of the comments on the other picture of her, and I really don't think that those are blubber stains after all. I've come across a lot of arctic pelts and the stains are usually a slightly different shade and concentrated on the lower lip, not along the entire lower jaw and legs. Interesting. Should the buyer back out, I might be interested. I'll just have to see how much money I have available for such things. :giggle:

Buyer did back out and she's for sale on Etsy for $350.
And your Jackal is almost done! Just doing final paint and jaw construction. They sure are skinny agile little dogs! :XD: So cute!
And I am looking foreward to constructing something out of the white mark...just not sure if the leather will hold up since I spot-tested one area and the leather is acting like wet construction paper. But we shall see! I've been known to salvage a lot of old or oddly tanned pelts!

I'm so excited about the jackal. :D ...I'm sorry to hear about the white mark, though. I hope that that isn't the case with the entire pelt. I was looking forward to seeing what became of it. Best of luck and keep me posted. :)

Oh, and let me know if you're still interested in the Lightning Saix and the Geno Breaker. I might sell the Salamander separately, but the rest of them will probably go in a lot on eBay unless other people express interest in individual Zoids. :giggle:

Probably the face in general. I've been having problems with soft mounting stuff because I think they were previously prepped to only be wallhangers (all their noses are funky) and so I try to work with what I have.

Shes adorable, but whats with the orange fur on her face and legs?

Someone told me it's a natural stain from seal blubber (makes foxes go yellowy, like how shrimp makes flamingoes pink) but I thought it was a blood/hemmorage stain since the original person who got her said he hit her with his truck.

Hmm.. How would a fox get a hold of seal blubber? Wait no, they follow the polar bears around. So the yellowing will never go away?

I'm not quite sure.... I honestly believed it was a blood stain in the fur (white hair often stains to yellow once blood is washed out)

They tend to go yellow as time goes on. Polar bears do too, I have a white dog called Kang who's yellow around the face, chest and back and he 'aint been eating seal blubber XD It's natural ♥ and cute.

These taxidermied plush animals always catch my eye. I know my gf would love a springbok one...but finding a whole pelt could be a pain. We just have a 'cape'.

This is beautiful!

Hm....Springbok may be kindof easy for me to get(lots of african pelts cross my path) but for something a tad smaller but similar I can possibly get would be a Thompsons gazelle. But african stuff would be pricey since a lot of it doesn't survive the tan, so there is a high demand. I'd guess $800 for a plush gazelle

Whoo! That's a pretty reasonable price though for a taxidermy plush.

Some day when I have the money perhaps I will contact you. Thanks!

She really looks like her tail should start wagging when you make eye contact with her. There's so much expression in that face, I could hug her until the cows come home.

Gah, if I had money I'd commission you to make a soft-plush from my coyote skin xD Mr. Sniffles needs to be more cuddly... he's just kinda dead and flopsy wopsy right now.

She looks so soft *-*
