Wowzahhhh. I'd love to see that driving around. It really does look like it's on fire. On a completely random note, do you know of a company that would make small vinyls? I have a cello case that I love to sticker, but the stickers sometimes fall off.
What material is your cello case made of? Sometimes if it's leather or that really slick textured nogahide material, stickers wont stick. But, if you are looking for small automotive grade vinyl decals, I suggest Vinzdecals.com
It's just some sort of plastic... I'm not exactly sure since there is no label or anything. Since you seem to know about these things, would you happen to know something I can use as a sealant? Right now I have modge podge on some of the stickers that I need waterproofed (I can't take the case in the rain cause some of the stickers will get all weird), but that leaves a texture on the stuff. Any ideas? At first I thought polyurethane, but I have no idea if that'll work.
Hmm.... I know my clarinet case was some sort of bonded leather with a smooth glaze on it ( lot like a smooth saddle type of finish) I looked up what instrument cases are made of today and most are made of fiberglass with a rubber/urethane coating. Automotive grade stickers SHOULD work on the cello case. I have some stuck to wood, glass, hard plastic, and lexan/polycarbonate sheeting. So the best bet would be an automotive grade vinyl or sticker. But before you put the sticker down, wipe the surface you are sticking to with rubbing alcohol. Stickers wont stick to a dirty/dusty/oily surface. So rubbing alcohol makes it a clean bond between the sticker and the case.
Mmmm. Well, I know they stick, since I have a ton on there, but I was wondering if you knew of a coating I could put on top of them to make the non-waterproof stickers (think those things you get at the dentist) at least water resistant.
A personal artwork on reflective ran me $200 each side. It will be waaaay cheaper if it was on normal vinyl (not reflective and not the mirror finish. Probably be close to $80 per side) Also depends on how big the vinyl is.
If you want custom lettering or pre-made art, I suggest using these guys: [link] (I used the crap out of them on my Mitsubishi Lancer)
