This is the skull of a jacob sheep named Maverick. He was 4 years old, before getting struck down with an illness (regarding the cold weather). From what I heard, Jacobs are a very primitive species, don't live long, and are very unhealthy in nature. They are often mistaken for goats too!
So... you thought that 4-horns were freaks of nature?
Connect the ends of the horns and the tip of it's nose and you'll trace a pentagram!
Maybe that's how goats became such a demonic symbol.
That is awesome... looks like something a Special Effects team could use to model a demon after. Certianly the pentagram adds to the demonic essence of the creature's skull... that's really interesting... now I'm going to have to look up more about this species... you've got me interested now!

Lol! I sure wish I created something mutated that lives... but that'd be too much like playing god.
I just clean skulls, I put this in the photojournalism section because I plan to to an after-shot ---When it's all cleaned and paneled!
Lol! They come in 2-horn, 4-horn, uncommonly 6-horn, and the ever prized 8-horn!
I have dibs on an 8 horn when he dies!
I have another jacob sheep skull (own 3 total) that was broken. I hope to demonize it for a scare prop... but a bit late for Halloween...
I have a smaller, yearling male/ram that is I think is missing some nasal bones (not the turbinates). Planning to put him back together. I'd sell him to you for $75 as is, or $100 whitened, horns polished, put together and ready for a skull mount.
Send an e-mail if you'd like to see him!

There's also one on skullsunlimited.com... but that one's priced at $300+ (but he has kewl Bob-Marley dreadlock-looking horns!)

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
